Gumdrops-Sunday Mornings Quilt

I finally finished the Gumdrop quilt from Sunday Morning Quilts.  As I haven't learned to write down or keep track of where I buy the fabric or who designed it, I can only tell you that the gumdrops were from scraps and the background is Kona (which shade of gray I can't remember).  The backside is a two-tone gray polka dot and the binding is a two-tone gray chevron print.  I didn't really know what I was doing as far as the FMQ pattern.  I was trying to do bubbles/cobblestones and kept plodding along.  All in all, I'm pleased with finished project!

  1. Great quilt! I love this pattern. I've made one out of her book as well. Your FMQ is fantastic. I am just learning so I can appreciate the time it takes. You did such a nice job!

  3. I usually stay away from grey, but you have really made it work with your gumdrops. Your quilt is super!

  4. Oh wow! The colours are beautiful, the gumdrops really twinkle on the dark grey, the pebble quilting is so detailed- how many miles of thread did it take?! You are putting the summer vacation to good use! (by the way, am I still a no reply blogger? I tried to fix it but don't know if it worked. Would you mind trying to reply? Thanks!)

  5. This is a great take on Amanda Jean's pattern! I love that you did the background in Kona gray (something or other :) ). And the quilting is great!

  6. It is so pretty. Great quilt. I'm on a bee where we are using the Sunday Morning Qiilts Book as reference and one of the members picked that quilts. So I go to make a section for her quilt. It was so fun.

  7. What a great quilt! I love all the purples, I don't think I have any in my stash! I tend to write a stash report post when I have a fabric delivery and link up to Sunday Stash at Finding Fifth, then I can look back and see what things are and where they came from :-)
